The Power of Respect

Self Respect

Founder - Editor - Host

"There are admirable potentialities in every human being. Believe in your strength and your truth. Learn to repeat endlessly to yourself, 'It all depends on me,'" wrote Andre Gide.  Each person is made up of a set of character traits, unique unto himself.  You have a different way of interpreting the world, and an individual belief system that is based on your experiences and understanding of that world.  Your frame of reference sets you apart from all others, and is the key that can impact any segment of the world.

Harry S. Truman said, "We must build a new world, a far better world - one in which the eternal dignity of man is respected."  When you have respect for others, you see the potentialities in them.  You treat them with the dignity deserving of every human being.  You accept them as friends and harmonize in an exchange of ideas.  This creates synergy that can launch a mastermind, one that infuses action into the development of opportunities on multiple levels.

As you respect others, so your self-respect grows. It is a gift between two forces.  You understand the effort others have invested in you, and your gratitude for their effort becomes easy to express.  Their well-placed assistance becomes one of joy, knowing that you understand and appreciate their support.  You form a beneficial, symbiotic relationship that energizes your agenda, empowering both parties and increasing their effectiveness dramatically.  It opens up new avenues for expression.

Joe Clark wrote, "Self-respect permeates every aspect of your life" in the way you think about yourself, the way you treat others, and the accomplishments you attempt with an expectation for success.  This self-respect gives you confidence, allows freedom of thought, and expands your energy for the development of future projects.

Marketing Tip 1:

"No man ever achieved worthwhile success who did not, at one time or other, find himself with at least one foot hanging well over the brink of failure." -- Napoleon Hill

Marketing Tip 2:

"I didn't want to say "No" because I didn't want people to think I'm not nice. And that, to me, has been the greatest lesson of my life: to recognize that I am solely responsible for it, and not trying to please other people, and not living my life to please other people, but doing what my heart says all the time." -- Oprah Winfrey
