The Magic of Individualized Action

Strategies for Success

Founder - Editor - Host

Benjamin Jowett wrote, "We cannot seek or attain health, wealth, learning, justice or kindness in general.  Action is always specific, concrete, individualized, unique."  This is true in the strictest sense of life.  Unless you define, specifically, the beliefs in your world, the variables of life will toss you about.

If you ask just three people to define true wealth, you will get three totally different answers.  One may describe it as having family around them constantly.  Another may say that to win huge sums of money in poker would encompass wealth.  The third may describe the ability to make residual income, and have the freedom to travel.

"It's important to know that words don't move mountains.  Work, exacting work moves mountains," said Danilo Dolci.  Work toward the goals and dreams you have specifically defined.  If you have not yet defined those goals and dreams, begin a journal at once.  Envision that which you desire, and write about it with clarity.

Read your clear statement twice daily.  "Bite off more than you can chew, then chew it," prompted Ella Williams.  Make your actions a daily reflection of your desires.  This is the only way it will happen.  Your goals must be cemented deep in your subconscious mind, in order to truly effect change in your circle of consciousness.

Abraham Lincoln said, "Things may come to those who wait, but only things left by those who hustle."  You need to act upon your dreams.  The greatest gift you can give yourself is the gift of belief in your abilities.  Taking action is your own testimonial that solidifies this belief.

No one has all the answers when they start out.  Plenty of those who never started make excuses for their lack of success by pointing our that someone else initiated their quest with money.  Money is nothing but an idea.  Those who started out with money still needed ideas, action, and confidence in self.

"The conditions of conquest are always easy. We have but to toil awhile, endure awhile, believe always, and never turn back," wrote Marcus Annaeus Seneca.  These are powerful words that hold the key to success.  "The drops of rain make a hole in the stone, not by violence, but by oft falling," added Lucretius.  Keep going on your path to your dreams.  Never give up.

Analyze.  If what you are doing is not producing the results you want, change something and try again.  These small changes may be the tiny speck of dust that makes it all happen…the tiny drop of water that makes the seed grow into a forest.

Epicetus wrote, "First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do."  This is not a new philosophical theory.  This is age-old wisdom, carried down through the centuries by people who have succeeded.  Fortunately, those who have achieved success do not keep any secrets regarding their process.  They are proud of their accomplishments, and willingly share their beliefs with anyone who will listen.

The conflict comes when you realize that your belief system differs from theirs.  When most people identify this, however, they adopt a "sour-grapes" type of attitude, rather than trying to understand why their belief systems differ, and what may need to change in their own lives to have what they truly desire - that is, how they will experience success for themselves.

Reading about abundance theory may open up a vast world to you.  Belief in "Infinite Abundance," rather than belief in a limited resource of wealth - as most of the population believes - is a defining belief that may open up your ability to achieve.  This is the belief that the world expands with our thoughts, and is supported by evidence of the extraordinary accomplishments of others that surround our lives.
