Everyone wants the key to success - The magic formula that
will result in extraordinary, massive abundance in all parts
of life. You buy books on personal development, read
biographies of the successful, and watch stories about the
rich and famous, hoping to find that "one thing" that will
bring you success.
The Wizard of Oz tells Dorothy she has had the power all
along. You watch "action movies" - and love them. Yet, there
seems to be a "secret" you are missing. "You see, in life,
lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do
what they know. Knowing is not enough! You must take action,"
says Anthony Robbins.
The key…taking action! Taking action with direct movement
that points you to your goal with the ability of a
sharpshooter. "Action to be effective must be directed to
clearly conceived ends," wrote Jawaharlal Nehru.
Life throws all sorts of "stuff" at us. You need to minimize
the distractions that demand your attention and divert you
from your goals. Organize your distractions into manageable
chunks, and delegate responsibility for their supervision
whenever possible. Adhere to a plan for time management; then
focus on achieving solutions within designated time periods.
Tackle the most important diversions first. When the
allocated time is up, put those minor tasks away, re-focus on
your goals, and keep your actions directed. If
you carefully choose bits of time each day for those minor
distractions, you will manage your life more efficiently, and
remain on task.
Persevere with deliberate action. You will gain massive
success when you act with tenacity. The reward for your
efforts is the knowledge that you can achieve the goals you
desire.
Kahlil Gibran wrote," To be able to look back upon ones life
in satisfaction, is to live twice."
