Cooperative Effort

Law of Attraction

You will make your greatest strides in success when you enlist the power available from cooperative sources.  Many success mentors speak of this.  Mark Victor Hansen calls it "the Aladdin Factor."  Napoleon Hill calls it "the Power of the Mastermind."

"Great discoveries and improvements invariably involve the cooperation of many minds. I may be given credit for having blazed the trail but when I look at the subsequent developments, I feel the credit is due to others rather than to myself," wrote Alexander Graham Bell.

Ben Stein said, "Personal relationships are the fertile soil from which all advancement, all success, all achievement in real life grows."

A few days ago, I was speaking with a director from a large American corporation.  We were discussing his journey up the ladder of corporate success - where he had started, how he had landed into his current line of work, and how he progressed along the way.

This man assured me that it was not through his own know-how.  He was willing to confidently take on any project assigned him, whether he knew anything about it or not.  He would assess the project, determine what skills were needed to produce a certain result, and investigate, through word-of-mouth, who was most skilled in the company in that field.

He would then approach this person, asking for help.  He assured me that these folks always cooperated whole-heartedly.  This gentleman helped build his company into the success that it is today due to his forward-thinking abilities and his skill at enlisting the cooperation of others.  He says it is always with others that we attain our goals.

Do not feel that you are "using" others when you ask for help.  Charles Dudley wrote, "It is one of the beautiful compensations of this life that no one can sincerely try to help another without helping himself."
