Dr. Joyce Brothers, American psychologist, talks about
perseverance as developed in relation to success in life. She
points out that success is "tied at the hip" to that quality
of pure determination. Of this she said, "Studies indicate
that the one quality all successful people have is
persistence. They're willing to spend more time accomplishing
a task and to persevere in the face of many difficult odds.
There's a very positive relationship between people's ability
to accomplish any task and the time they're willing to spend
on it."
Anthony Robbins hits a home run on this theme when he
discusses the action of a parent. "How long do you give your
average baby to walk before you shut him down and don't let
him try anymore?" he asks. That's the key to success! You
try until!
John Christian Bovee has said, "A failure establishes only
this, that our determination to succeed was not strong
enough."
You strive until you get it right. You analyze
your results, adjust your actions, seek the advice of your
mentors, increase your skills, expand your thinking, and
visualize your success .You knock on doors until
they open. You practice until you get the
results you want. You give lectures until you
achieve rave reviews. Then you continue on. A great singer
cannot make one chart-popping hit, and remain at the top
without continuously adding to his portfolio of
accomplishments. Your body needs a constant flow of blood
assert life. Your spirit needs a constant flow of contiuous
accomplishment to celebrate joy.
Once you accept the idea that there are intangible forces tied
to your determination to stay with it until, you
will unlock the magical flight that will enable you to glide
onto the runway and succeed.
Stay with it, UNTIL!
