Ignite Your Passion

Founder - Editor - Host

"When you come to the end of everything you know
And are faced with the darkness of the unknown,
Faith is knowing one of two things will happen.
Either there will be something solid for you to stand on,

Or you will be taught how to fly."

                             Barbara J. Winter

Pablo Picasso said, "Everything you can imagine is real."  What a thought!  If you can imagine it, you can make it real.

Do you ever entertain thoughts that are totally removed from your own experiences?  You can imagine a fictional drama one-hundred years in the future because Gene Roddenberry, Arthur C. Clarke and Michael McCollum have paved the way with their imaginative tales of colonial isolation in foreign worlds.  Actual photos of the space station, the walk on the moon, and the outer reaches of the universe, transmitted from the Hubble Space Telescope, have also given us food for thought.

How would you approach writing a computer program that would withstand the stress of space travel?  Assume that this program needs to measure light waves that expose certain alloys on a multiple space-transport system.  Your knowledge and talent for critical thinking is key to the success of the mission.  Baffled?

This must be why so many kids want to be firefighters or sports stars, but never think to become a significant part of the space program.

If you are determined to create significance in your life, train yourself to think outside your circle of reality.  Place yourself in uncomfortable situations.  Expand your perspective.  These are the areas in which you have the potential for growth.  This is what professional personal-development coaches call "stretching."

Ray Charles said, "I never wanted to be famous.  I only wanted to be great."  He became great by creating the habit of giving it his all…not just once, but every time.  With consistency...and belief...and perseverance...and a vision of himself doing it.

Marketing Tips

Marketing Tip 1:

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing." -- Helen Keller

Marketing Tip 2:

"We had the same doomsday people when we were building the MGM Grand, same people, same doomsday. You have to ask a lot of questions and listen to people, but eventually, you have to go by your own instincts." -- Kirk Kerkorian
